The Balcon de Europa (Balcony of Europe) was constructed in 1487. Formerly a IX Century Castle, it is now a viewing point above the sea. At the Calahonda gap, the Paseo de Carabineros begins, a scenic path winding the way through the rocks bordering the seashore down to the Burriana Beach. To the side of the Balcón de Europa, you will find the XVII Century El Salvador Church, constructed in baroque-mudejar style
